Over 500km of superb adventure riding in 1 big day!

Waikato Warrior is a GPS navigated adventure ride taking riders over 500km in a day, including loads of new offshoots onto private farmland and forestry roads and tracks in and around the Southern Waikato region starting and finishing in Te Awamutu. We've altered the route from last year making it even better than before and will take us over some superb private tracks we havent had the privilege of exploring before! This is a fantastic ride, more like a trail ride with fantastic back- roads to link it all up!
The adventure will take you on a journey through some spectacular scenic areas with many awesome trails through private farms and forestry. Depending on the weather, there may be sections that will require a moderate level of off-road rider skills. These sections may include short steeper inclines and declines, slippery/muddy terrain or stream crossings. There will be shortcuts in place for those that want to finish a little earlier, as this is going to be 1 fantastic BIG day if you complete it all.
Note that it is important that you, or at least one rider in your group is competent at using GPS form of navigation.

REGISTRATION MEET & GREET:
Registration Friday 20th March from 6.00pm with briefing 8.00pm. This will be at at Redoubt Bar & Eatery, 423 Alexandra St, Te Awamutu. A great pre-ride chance for everyone to have a catch-up and a chinwag, and ensure you are all prepared to get away early the following morning without any hitches. This will include a pre-ride briefing, where all riders must sign-on, and attend for the briefing at 8pm.
Then it’s all go EARLY Saturday morning to head out and start your adventure. This is a BIG day's riding, so don't expect to be home early afternoon unless you take the shortcuts! We can meet back at the Bar late afternoon, early evening for some well deserved refreshments and to swap some stories!
