Broxholme Wins in Japan

Tauranga’s Peter Broxholme took maximum points today, in the 125cc class at round one of the Asian Supercross Championship in Sugo, Japan.

The 19-year-old Kiwi on his 2002 model Honda led a trifecta of Honda riders with second and third filled by Japanese factory riders. The next non-Japanese rider was Australian Chris Urkhart in 8th place.

The Supercross track is in the mountains just outside Sugo and heavy rain fell all day. Broxholme now moves to round two at Medan in Indonesia on September 30 with maximum points.
