Pitiful performance from Watts at OMA Round 2:

Team KTM Offroad racer Shane Watts produced a dismal result at round two of the Parts Unlimited Offroad Motorcycles Nationals, held at the Thunder Valley Motocross complex in Ohio over the weekend.

Having won the first round of the series in Arkansas Watts was pumped for a strong result at round two. During the Saturday afternoon practice session on the course Watts was feeling strong and very confident on his machine despite still being severely under the effects of a recent bout of the flu. However, from the start of Sunday\'s race through to the finish it was all down hill.

\"When the flag flew at the start I gassed it too quick and flooded the engine,\" lamented Watts following the race.
\"A 10 kick start is never the perfect way to begin a race. Then I got held up for ages trying to work my way through the pack. Finally as I started to make progress towards the top 5 some wire fence got tangled up in my rear wheel. It didn\'t really take that long to untangle it but I was done right then. Just totally lost interest so I cruised for the remainder of the race. It was a pitiful performance. Someone said that I finished 10th but I didn\'t even bother checking.\"

This weekend coming Watts tackles round 7 of the GNCC series in Kentucky.
