MOTORSPORT NETWORK LTD - PRESS RELEASE:
The 2004/05 New Zealand Road Race Championships are set to kick off, with round one (The New Zealand Motorcycle Grand Prix) at Ruapuna Raceway just outside Christchurch this weekend, December 4/5. The event will attract FREE TO AIR TV coverage on TVNZ’s Shell Helix motorsport programme on channel one.
As Shell Helix rates higher than many top rugby games, this style of coverage will be excellent for the sport. Production costs for the TV programmes are being met from the sponsorship dollars from Motorcycle Trader & News, Suzuki New Zealand and SsangYong New Zealand.
With the potential of some excellent racing in the top two classes, Superbikes and 600 Sports production, sports fan will have the opportunity to see motorcycle road racing at it’s best on home soil. Showcasing not only the existing top riders but also the new up and coming riders
