R K Samurai Trophy Went to Stroud:

The RK Samurai Trophy was presented to the Production Superbike rider with the highest points at the end of the Motorcycle Trader & News New Zealand Road Race Championship running RK Chain.

The Trophy chase was hard fought between the Suzuki mounted pairing of Hamilton’s Andrew Stroud and Auckland’s Ray Clee, with the Honda Duo of Tauranga’s Dean Fulton and Hamilton’s Jared Love filling the minor placings.

At the half way point after the South Island rounds Clee lead Stroud by 13 points, but the North Island tracks were kinder to Stroud and be finished 9 points in front.

Stroud: 29, 61, 50, 67.5 Total 207.5
Clee: 56, 49, 49, 46.5 Total 198.5
Fulton: 36, 49, 45, 32.5 Total 152.5
Love: 38, 21, 35, 46.5 Total 140.6
