KTM are building their first multi-cylinder bike. The bike is set to make it\'s debut in the 2001 Paris-Dakar desert race. The engine, which is currently under goind testing, is a 800cc 75 degree V-twin. Bench tests have shown that it produces 90phb.
The first road bike based on the new engine will be a Paris-Dakar replica to be released in 2002. Other road variants are set to follow, including a V-twin update on the Duke. Now that will be fun :-)
