John Kocinski has been awarded $1.6 million by a jury on Monday, May 22, in his lawsuit against Bell Motorcycle Europe over a contract dispute. Kocinski (former 250cc and WSB Champion) sued Bell Helmets for the $748,000 owed to him on his contract, but the Orange County, California, jury awarded him much more than that.
\"The key is that we were only seeking what they owed us and the jury awarded us that and interest on every single dime from day one,\" Kocinski\'s lawyer Scott McKewen said. \"John just wanted to get paid. We are hopeful that Bell will be reasonable and will solve this matter immediately.\"
