The weather hasn\'t been very good so, in general, lap times are slower. Craig Shirriffs is riding the CBR400 that Paul Williams (NZ) used to win the 400 class for the past 2 years. Brett Richmond (NZ) has a similar bike, & the two Kiwis are quite a bit faster than the others in the class. The Junior race containing the 400 class is on Monday.
Craig also has a CBR600, but between the North West 200 a couple of weeks ago & now, the NW200 motor was put in another frame by Honda UK. This frame has a WP shock just to prop it up. Craig tried it but before the top of Bray Hill soon after the start, hit a bump which wobbled him so much that he rode back to the pits! They are hoping to get an Ohlins shock, but as there is only one more practice, with doubtful weather, it\'s uncertain whether he can qualify this bike.
Warren Turner (NZ R1) has an engine problem which he\'s working through, but at least has already qualified for Wednesday\'s race.
Graeme Crosby is also riding in the Island again - Monday - but it\'s just a parade of past famous riders & he\'ll be on his famous Suzuki. He\'s also won a trip to Germany for being top Mercedes salesman, & some other display at a yachting Louis Vitton Cup show.
